HTC EVO Shift 4G release date January 9th 2011

This new HTC Evo Shift/Knight looks great! For those of you who really need that keyboard in your life, this is the smartphone for you. Here are some of the specs:

The smartphone in this picture appears to be inside of a case, so the actual device will be slightly smaller.

Additional Details of the HTC Shift 4GThe full set of specifications for this smartphone has yet to emerge, but a great many details have leaked out.
The Shift 4G is going to run Android OS 2.2 on a 1 GHz processor, and this might be a dual-core chip.
On its front will be a 3.7-inch touchscreen and standard set of control buttons. The resolution for the display is not yet known, but it's most likely WVGA.
The Sprint logo on the leaked pictures makes it clear which carrier will be offering this model. And the "4G" in its name indicates that it will support this carrier's WiMAX service. This would make it Sprint's third model with this very fast cellular-wireless networking service.
Unconfirmed reports also indicate that this smartphone is going to have an 8 megapixel camera, but, somewhat surprisingly, it won't have a front-facing camera.
However, some details still remain a mystery, such as its storage capacity.
The HTC Knight/Shift 4G will reportedly be released early next year, possibly at CES, a giant electronics tradeshow that kicks off on January 6. - source
