ZTE Peel for iPod touch hits Sprint November 14

Today, Sprint confirmed that the iPod touch sleeve will indeed be available on that day and added a few extra details along with it as well. In case you’re hearing about the ZTE Peel for the very first time just now, it’s basically a sleeve that goes over your iPod touch and allows it to connect to the Internet via Sprint’s 3G network. Pretty neat, right? You might also be able to get some VoIP action on it, too.Here’s what Sprint tells us:

Not a shabby way to get your iPod touch connected when you’re not in a Wi-Fi hotspot or covered area. And with a huge chunk of iOS applications functioning only when data is available, the ZTE Peel doesn’t look like such a bad option.
The Peel is going to go for about $80 and will come with a $30 data plan that allows you 1GB of data. You be the judge of whether it’s worth it to you, but also note that these things are designed for the second and third generation iPod touches. Bob's Burgers - Coming Soon

There is a new animated show coming to FOX. 
The show is set to air on Sundays after The Simpsons sometime in the middle of the 2010-2011.  The first season is expected to have thirteen episodes.


BOB’S BURGERS is a new animated series about a man, his family and a burger joint. A third-generation restaurateur, BOB BELCHER (H. Jon Benjamin, FAMILY GUY, “Archer”) runs Bob’s Burgers with the help of his wife and their three kids. Bob has big ideas about burgers, condiments and sides, but only a few thoughts on customer service and business management. Despite his greasy counters, lousy location and occasionally spotty service, Bob is convinced his burgers speak for themselves. Even though business is slow, Bob gets to work with his family. His wife, LINDA BELCHER (John Roberts, “The Christmas Tree,” “Jackie & Debra”), supports Bob’s dream through thick and thin (but truth be told, she’s getting a little sick of the thin). Their eldest daughter, TINA (Dan Mintz, “Important Things with Demetri Martin,” “The Andy Milonakis Show”), is a 13-year-old hopeless romantic with minimal social skills. Middle child GENE (Eugene Mirman, “Flight of the Conchords,” “Aqua Teen Hunger Force”) is an aspiring musician and a prankster who serves up more jokes than burgers. Their youngest, LOUISE (Kristen Schaal, “Flight of the Conchords,” “Modern Family”), is the most enthusiastic about her dad’s business, but an off-balance sense of humor and her elevated energy level make her somewhat of a liability in the kitchen. Beyond the restaurant is a city rich with character. Next door to Bob’s is It’s Your Funeral Home and Crematorium; down the street is Wonder Wharf, the oceanside amusement pier; and a few blocks away is Wagstaff Middle School, where Bob and Linda’s kids go to school. And across the street is Jimmy Pesto’s Pizzeria, Bob’s Burgers’ main competition and the thorn in Bob’s side.

The movie features beautiful Emily Browning, wearing silver-blond pigtails and the biggest pair of fake eyelashes you've ever seen, as a young woman who's been assaulted, attacked and packed off to a mental hospital in the aftermath of her parents' death. Of course, this isn't your average loony bin. The whole place is populated exclusively by pretty young things—including fellow stars Jena Malone, Vanessa Hudgens, Jamie Chung—whose treatment regimen seems to include not only hard, floor-scrubbing labor, but also regular dance rehearsals at which they perfect their pole-dancing technique. (Some kind of progressive therapy, perhaps?) The trailer shows the asylum residents, lounging around their barracks-style bedroom wearing thigh-high fishnets and lingerie, dreaming of escape from their hell.

This is where things get crazy. Carla Gugino shows up, Emily's character suddenly enters a grayscale dreamworld and a guru with a gravelly voice tells her that she and her friends can win their freedom by finding five objects hidden in this imaginary mindscape. Hey, fun! It's like a scavenger hunt! Except with knives, and murders! Because of course, there is an army of enemy robots dressed like samurai. There is a post-apocalyptic landscape punctuated by fiery, flying balls of exploding shrapnel. There is a two-story-tall beast made of what looks like movable concrete with giant horns and a jetpack flamethrower. And of course, there's Emily, charging through fire and slicing apart armies of metal soldiers, dressed in an outfit that can best be described as naughty-schoolgirl-meets-nautical-ninja.

Hey, what could the maker of the 3DS' autostereoscopic display be doing in its spare time? Why, stealing a bit of thunder for itself, by the looks of it. Sharp has just trotted out a pair of glasses-free 3D Android handsets for Japan's Softbank network in the form of the touchscreen slate 003SH and QWERTY-slidin' 005SH. A 1GHz Snapdragon powers Froyo on both, with the 3D-capable displays stretching to 3.8 inches and 800 x 480 resolution. The 003SH also comes with a 9.6 megapixel camera capable of 720p video, while the 005SH settles for 8 megapixels. There are also bundled 3D content deals in place, such as the one with Capcom that will see Mega Man, Resident Evil and Ghosts 'n Goblins titles coming preloaded on the handsets. Intrigued? Just think of it, no more hanging around your hotel's front desk like some unrefined homo erectus. The Clarion Hotel in Stockholm is starting up a new pilot program to allow visitors to check in and collect their room key without the repugnant need for speaking to an actual human being -- it can all be done with an NFC-equipped mobile phone. Provided your smartphone can do the near-field communications dance, all your information can be remotely downloaded, stored, and wiped (if need be), and you can even check out from a room using the accompanying application. Samsung handsets are being provided to selected customers during the period of this trial, though once its four-month incubation period is over, you'll have to bring your own bit of advanced telephony to avoid the queues.
